i've had the opportunity to enjoy the sophisticated feeling of nostalgia as i played back what used to be an anthem of mine. Shyne's freshman LP was and is monumental for me. it embodied everything that made Jay's Reasonable Doubt special: dope dealing, model dating, hard living mixed with Crystal sipping...not to mention lines like "Blame Nicky Barnes for hittin my moms" and "frank lucas demeanor" years before American Gangster was even filmed. his ability to tell stories is still somewhat unmatched. if it wasn't for his present incarceration he would be a mean force in the rap game even today. tip your hats!
